Starting from September 9, the attic gallery of the Estonian Children’s Literature Centre will host a doll exhibition by Studio 14 titled The Secret Life of Mushrooms and Insects. The exhibition will remain open until November 29, 2025.
The exhibition presents original dolls by 16 dollmakers, each exploring the fascinating and mysterious world of mushrooms and insects in their works.
Participating artists: Annika Aedma, Sveta Aleksejeva, Irina Fomina, Oleg Leontšik, Natalja Lepihhina, Lada Mil, Ljubov Mirošnitšenko, Tatjana Mohrjakova, Olga Norviliene, Anna Sedaja, Ksenia Šinkovskaja, Svetlana Sorgina, Nadezda Uibopuu, Evelin Vassar, Natalja Volohhonski, and Maris Willadsen. The exhibition is curated by Tatjana Mohrjakova, founder and leader of Studio 14.
The exhibition can be visited during the opening hours of the Estonian Children’s Literature Centre: Mon–Fri 10 am–6 pm and Sat 11 am–4 pm. Admission is free. Please note that the exhibition is open for visitors when the attic rooms are not used for the Centre’s educcational activities.
At the same time, on the second floor of the Centre, visitors can also enjoy an illustration exhibition by Estonian artists: Mycology, or the Secret Life of Mushrooms.
