A Cat For Rent

Marta wants a new phone more than anything else in the world: the kind where apps don’t freeze up and the screen isn’t cracked like a spiderweb. Alas, her parents think her current phone is good enough and that it’ll do for a while. When Marta’s friend Truude recommends that she ask for something bigger to bargain for what she really wants, the girl decides to start begging for a cat with the goal of getting a new phone instead. Yet, she has no idea that she’ll fall so in love with the kitten she meets at a classmate’s house that she’ll do anything to take it home for good.
