The book Pisike puu, which means A Small Tree in Estonian, is meant as a present for babies born in Estonia 2015 and onwards.
The aim of the book is to support children`s interest in reading and to value Estonian children`s literature. The book has been compiled by the Estonian Children’s Literature Centre and was financed by the Estonian Ministry of Culture. The first books were handed over to the babies and their parents in Viljandi on the 26th October by the Minister of Culture Indrek Saar.
