The Tree of Hope

What does it feel like to have a friend who has been by your side since the day you were born? And what does it feel like when, all at once, they are no longer there? How can one bear the ache of loss and the weight of emptiness? Perhaps by writing letters to the friend who is gone. Or by treasuring the many qualities that made them dear.
