Tallinn Illustrations Triennial

Tallinn Illustrations Triennial “Pildi Jõud” (The Power of Pictures) is an exhibition held every three years. The Triennial is organized by the National Library of Estonia, the Estonian Graphic Designers Association, the Estonian Children’s Literature Centre and the Estonian Section of IBBY. Book artists from the Baltic Sea countries – Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Germany, Russia, Poland, Finland, Sweden, Norway, and Denmark – can participate.

7th Tallinn Illustration Triennial, titled “The Power of Pictures”, took place from November 3rd to December 3rd, 2023. The exhibition featured the works of 82 artists from 26 countries, showcasing over 300 illustrations that could be viewed at the Estonian Museum of Architecture. Additionally, the Estonian Children’s Literature Centre hosted a solo exhibition by the winner of the previous triennial, Mexican artist Amanda Mijangos, titled “Learn to Look, Learn to Speak”.
