From 19 to 21 October 2018 the beloved children’s writer Leelo Tungal will visit Riga to introduce her book Comrade Kid and the Grown-Ups to Latvian readers.
Tungal meets readers in different schools, participates in the Riga Book Festival and in the screening of Moonika Siimets’ movie which was based on Tungal’s book. Before the screening, the writer will give a short introduction of her book and the movie.
Leelo Tungal’s book Comrade Kid and the Grown-Ups was published this year in Latvian by Liels un Mazs (translated by Guntars Godiņš). The same publishing house has also published The Versatile Seal by Tungal (2014, translated by Guntars Godiņš). This November, Janis Roze publishes Leelo Tungal’s picture book Ludwig the Snowman’s Lucky Day.
